Amplicare’s Flu Vaccination Report Is Back

Posted on October 10, 2019 by Amplicare Team

The Amplicare Flu Vaccination report is back for another year. Available through Amplicare Restore, the report identifies opportunities to offer flu vaccinations to patients and provides personalized communication materials to make outreach easy. These features make it a necessity during flu season.

Generally, flu season begins in October and can last as late as May, with activity spiking between December and February. During this time, people experience flu symptoms at varying degrees of severity. Between October 2018 and May 2019, for instance, the CDC estimated that there were about 42.9 million cases of flu illnesses, including 647,000 hospitalizations. This was also the longest flu season in a decade.

The flu shot has proven to be essential to helping communities survive flu season, and pharmacists are well placed to provide this care as well as education about the importance of vaccinations. With flu cases already reported for 2019, it is important that pharmacists start to reach out (or ramp up their communications) to patients.

For current Amplicare Restore customers, here are a few tips for using the report. If you'd like to learn more about how you can take advantage of the Amplicare platform this flu season, reach out to us today to schedule a demo.
